The client is an independent structural steel fabrication company with a site-based division specialising in the engineering industry. Their expertise covers all site-based domestic and international projects across the structural steel fabrication and steel erection sectors spanning both onshore and offshore.

The company approached T J Hazell, following a personal recommendation and our extensive knowledge of steelwork fabrication. 

The client had been awarded a project to provide, fabricate and install numerous steel platforms and accessways to a mining facility.

Solution 

Our ability to respond quickly saw us review the proposed arrangement details provided by an overseas supplier and ensure that they were compliant with UK standards as a project in the UK.

Following the review, we provided revised layout drawings to suit the codes as well as fabrication drawings, ensuring all fabricated units met UK standards.

Results

Our rapid response and ability to turnaround essential drawings quickly coupled with our accuracy in an aggressive time constraint meant the project was a resounding success. This high level of service has seen us named as the client’s preferred design and engineering company.
